Parents need a voice on the Board of Education.  Unlike any of the current Board members, my husband and I have three children currently enrolled in New Hanover County Public Schools: Zachary is 12 years old and a 7th grader at Myrtle Grove Middle School; Austin is 10 years old and a 5th grader at Parsley Elementary School; and Kate is 7 years old and a 2nd grader at Parsley Elementary School.  I believe that my ongoing experience as a public school parent, as well as my vested interest in the success of our schools, would strengthen the board. 

Thank you for your support in the May, 2008 Republican primary.  I was very humbled to find myself the top vote-getter, beating two incumbents, as well as two other challengers.  I sincerely appreciate your continued support, as well as your vote, in the general election on November 4th.
